We just delivered our first Lindal Architects Collaborative home to a beautiful site with extraordinary views of the Catskill Mountains. Working with architect Leslie Dowling of Dowling Studios the clients modified the Dowling 2230 to fit their needs and lifestyle. Dowling Studios is also creating the interior design.

The materials were delivered from Washington State to the site by two large flatbed trucks. The contractor used heavy equipment to unload the materials and position them for convenient access when needed. The largest “parts” of the structure are seven 44’ – long tapered beams that will form the middle roof and extend out on to create a covered patio on the view side. The one-story home will be built on a polished concrete slab floor with efficient and comfortable radiant heating. Efficient materials, insulation and mechanicals will create a beautiful, warm modern home – with incredible views.

Handling these long beams requires skill, preparation and patience.
